ABOUT US

Our Lady Queen of Peace® Ranch (OLQP) is a non-denominational ranch that provides a fun experience for youth and families who have physical, mental, financial or emotional needs. The staff at OLQP strives to empower children through many exciting group activities. The Ranch is a place to make friends, relax, and discover “Happy Trails”!

Not only is the ranch an enjoyable place to be, it also provides children with the opportunity to learn the important values of respect, empowerment, safety and family by exploring the outdoors with likeminded peers and the supportive OLQP staff.

HISTORY

Our Lady Queen of Peace Ranch was founded in 1988 and is located in Bragg Creek, Alberta. In 2009, OLQP opened its Northern Ranch located in northeast Edmonton, Alberta.

The southern ranch began by offering horseback riding, tractor led wagon rides, hiking, fishing, canoeing and daily BBQ lunches. A fully-accessible playground, pontoon boat, swimming dock, multiple teepees, shower houses, the Walton Hall and sports fields have been added over the years for increased fun!

OLQP is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors that is dedicated to providing each child with a sense of belonging. The Board seeks to enhance confidence, coping skills, and self-acceptance in every participant. Essentially, every person involved with OLQP wants youth and families to leave the Ranch happy and excited to return the following year!

Since the opening of OLQP South, the Ranch has grown to provide a unique, educational and fun experience to a whopping 25,000 visitors annually.
