NORTHERN ALBERTA

Day Trips

Our various day trips provide a unique outdoor ranch experience to all children and families that attend.

This program requires a supervisor from the agency actively participates in all activities with their clients. The liaison is held fully responsible for their clients while at the Ranch. Please keep in mind our facilities are built and maintained with all needs in mind and are therefore fully accessible. Each group must have a minimum of 6 children participating in their day trips.

Agencies are required to choose from 5 themed program packages. All programs are non-competitive and are designed to be all-inclusive. The packages are as follows:

  • Environmental Program
  • Virtues Program
  • Teamwork/Leadership Program
  • Discovering Self Worth
  • FUN Program

This program provides children and families the facilities and equipment to experience a memorable outdoor adventure together, for free! Approval of application is required for all attendees.

The Ranch has 30 teepees that sleep 12 people; a propane BBQ and cooking utensils; and 5 shower houses, each with 4 individual three-piece bathrooms. In addition to the facilities, each guest is provided their own sleeping pad, sleeping bag (with a liner) and towels to use during their stay. It’s like staying at an all-inclusive hotel, but with a better view.

Summer Camp

Our week-long summer camp program, which runs Sunday to Friday throughout July and August, is a chance for campers to experience teepee living and activities that will expand imaginations and stimulate social, physical and emotional development.

Our goal is to provide a fun, outdoor recreational experience to those children who would otherwise not have the opportunity to experience a children’s summer camp. We strive to empower every child that comes to the Ranch by providing them with the opportunity to be creative, have fun, learn new things and make new friends.

Family Camp

Our weekend family camp, running Friday to Sunday throughout July and August, is an opportunity for families to spend time relaxing and reconnecting outdoors. The Ranch aims to provide the opportunity for families to grow, bond and simply have fun through activities like an all-ages kickball game, horseback riding, group crafts or campfire. We are excited for this season to begin, to see all the familiar faces and make new friends!

The Ranch provides an inclusive experience for guests by providing all necessary facilities and services including sleeping bags, liners, thick sleeping pads and plush towels for everyone in attendance, as well as three home-style meals per day, snacks and special treats of ice cream and slushies at no cost to the agency or the family. Families can sit back, relax, and enjoy the picturesque landscape.

All families who wish to participate in this camp must be referred by an agency, or apply directly through the Ranch office. If you are unsure whether or not you qualify, please submit your inquiry through the ‘contact us’ form or call the office.
